A French deep indigo linen maquignon work coat, dating from the late 1800s or o early 1900s. Noted flaws - the buttons are likely replacements or have at least been reattached at some point, patchy colour throughout the front, faded area and small fray on top of the right shoulder, some marking throughout the lower third - please see photos. Great condition otherwise, unlaundered by me in order to preserve the colour, but it smells and feels like it has been recently laundered, heavyweight, supple, very deep (almost black) indigo linen, single vent at the back, straight-through side pockets, large D pockets, two chest pockets, classic antique French workwear, suitable for everyone.
